My Phone, Best Friend

I have a very good friend, Kim H., who I talk to just about everyday. I believe we are kindred spirits. I met Kim about 5 years ago at a Creative Memories party that I did for her. Ever since then we have been the best of friends. We never really "hang out" together much but we talk on the phone ALL the time. I know my hubby thinks the phone is growing from my ear.

Kim is 10 yrs older then me and is very much like me. We have switched lives in the past year. I was a SAHM and Kim worked. Now I work and Kim stays at home with her Granddaughter. Kim moved to NC in January, with her family. She has been a great friend and someone I can always talk to about anything. I love her like a sister.
Kim is one of the kindest, caring, selfless, and dedicated people I have ever met in my life. I know we will be friends for a long time to come.

My Latest Adventure

I have been talking about getting a tattoo for years. I have even been looking for the perfect one to get. I know, it's for life and yada, yada, but one thing you should know about me is that I love art. I think that tattoos are a form of art. I love them and the meanings behind them. I think they are sexy, on the right person, and beautiful. I like girly tattoos, hearts, flowers, fairies, not skulls or morbid things with blood, at least not for myself.


Tattoos are much more mainstream now and are not just a "biker" or "trashy" thing to have. I decided to just go for it! I went to a great place in MD to have it done and the tattoo artist was great. I love it and I am not ashamed of it. It is one of those things I needed to do in my lifetime. I think I am ready for another one, I already have a couple of ideas of what to get. Now, just were do I put it?

Summer has begun!

Well, here we are, the 4th day of me being off work for the summer and it's raining, cool ( I can turn the air off in the house), and my daughter has the flu! What a way to start the week.

Don't bet me wrong, it's just stuff you go through when you have kids. I am excited that I work for the school system. I get summer's off with the kids, I can take them to the pool and read my books while they swim. I don't really have "neighborhood mom friends" so I don't really chat with the mom's at the pool. I think this summer I will try to meet more people, step out of the box!



I will also spend more time with my old friends, Kim and Chrissy. I really miss them. Since I started working full time I haven't seen them much in the past year. We used to scrap together, every Tuesday night. We sort of got burnt out with it and each other, I think, and stopped. We did have some drama with another person in our group and she stopped scrapping with us. That left the three of us. You know how it is when you have three friends, someone is always feeling slighted in some way. But, in any case I love them both.

So, I will be scrapping in my little scrap area, downstairs, away from the kids and trying to catch up, since I am a year behind. I love to scrap my families memories. I will post some of my newest pages when I get started.
