Today was a good day

I haven't had a chance to write anything in a while but today was a day off of work. I went as a chaparone, on a field trip with movie man today. We went to the Philips art gallery in Washington DC. It was an interesting trip. I think the kids, who are 3rd graders, had more fun on the bus ride there and back, then in the actual gallery. Those kids didn't really have much fun, that's all I can say. The group of kids in my group that were a little rowdy. I think the teachers see this as an oppurtunity to put the "rowdy" kids in a group with the chaperones!
We had a tour guide who was probably as old as some of the paintings in the place. She was nice but I was ready to fall asleep! During one part of the tour, the boys were laying, on the bench in the center of the room, where people are gazing at the artwork.
It wasn't really that bad and I got a glance at a Van Gogh painting.
The bus ride back WAS more fun! The kids were loud and obnoxious, but that's what we did on the school bus, at that age, right?
Not real exciting but at least Movie Man liked having me there with him.
